Ways to Support Chore

Make a Gift Today

Giving Through Your IRA
If you are age 70 or older, you may make a charitable gift to Chore directly from your IRA.
• The funds must be transferred directly from your IRA to Chore.
• The distribution is not included in your taxable income.
• The gift may count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD).
• You may give up to $108,000 per year using this method.
Please contact your IRA custodian for instructions.
Make a Gift That Lasts Beyond Your Lifetime
There are several ways to include Chore in your estate planning.
Bequest in Your Will
You may leave a specific amount or a percentage of your estate to Chore through your will. A lawyer will be required to create or update your will.
Payable-on-Death Accounts
You may designate a bank or securities account as payable on death (POD) to Chore. The funds remain fully available to you during your lifetime, and any remaining balance transfers to Chore upon your death. Please contact your financial institution to arrange this designation.
Chore Service is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law

Retirement Account Beneficiary
You may name Chore as the beneficiary of all or a portion of your IRA or 401(k). You retain full access to the account during your lifetime. Upon your death, the remaining balance passes directly to Chore, avoiding income taxes that would otherwise apply to an individual beneficiary. Please contact your plan administrator to make this change.
